The drink is produced in the Highlands, the bulk of the spirits are supplied by Ardmore’s own distillery, where the traditional method of smoking on peat is used to dry barley.
The unique product is most popular in the UK, where it is one of the five best-selling brands.
Absolutely all fans of the drink note its high quality, beautiful amber hue and deep rich taste with a characteristic peat accent.

The history of Ticher’s whiskey
The legendary “Teacher’s” is one of the oldest Scottish whiskey brands. The origins of her birth should be sought in the 30s of the XNUMXth century, when a young entrepreneur William with a memorable “teacher’s” surname and unshakable faith in himself received a license to sell alcoholic beverages.
Trade was organized in a grocer owned by the future mother-in-law of Teacher, in one of the promising areas of Glasgow. After 2 years, having married Agnes Macdonald, William opened his first “dram shop” – an institution where you could go at any time to have a glass or two of whiskey.
In 1836, having received a license to sell bottled scotch, Teacher became the owner of another drinking establishment. In just a couple of years, the network expanded to 20 pub shops, where you could either sit with a glass of whiskey or buy a bottle of your favorite drink to go.
According to the legends, Ticher not only provided his customers with quality alcohol, but also introduced them to culture. They say that in the “drum shops” of an ambitious businessman it was forbidden to swear and make noise. Thus Ticher attracted a respectable public to his establishments. Apparently, William wore the “pedagogical” surname for a reason.
In 1860, with the passage of the Liquor Act, the owner of the liquor stores received permission to experiment and create their own blends of whiskey. Fortunately, Willie Teacher had no shortage of suppliers of high-quality single malt and grain spirits from all regions of Scotland.

Around this time, the great “Teacher’s Highland Cream” was created, with an unusually high malt content and unique taste. The legend is born. The stamp was registered a few years after the death of the great experimenter – in 1884.
In 1876, the business passed into the hands of the Williams sons and was named “William Teacher & Sons Ltd”. The descendants of the founder began to actively explore the export, organizing the supply of whiskey to New Zealand, Norway, Australia, Thailand, Italy and the West Indies.
In 1897, the construction of its own distillery in Aberdeenshire began, the capacity of which by 1974 had expanded to 8 cubic meters. The company sourced water for beverages from local sources located at a depth of 1500 feet.
Today’s production volumes reach 5 million liters of whiskey per year.
