History of the brand

Synergy Joint Stock Company, today known as Beluga Group, was founded in 1999 by a group of Russian entrepreneurs led by Alexander Mechetin. For 20 years of work, the company has mastered the markets of more than 80 countries and acquired 6 own factories. Beluga Group partners include famous world corporations: William Grant & Sons, Camus, Bacardi, Meguel Torres SA.

The company’s product portfolio includes several dozen drinks of various categories, including the popular Beluga, Belenkaya and Myagkov vodkas, Doctor August tinctures, Le Lion de pierre brandy, sparkling and still wines.

In addition to the production of its own lines of alcohol, the company is engaged in the supply and sale in Russia of elite French cognacs, Scotch and Irish whiskey, gin, and other types of alcohol.

In 2013, the management of the Beluga Group decided to master the production of its own brand of whiskey. The production of the Fox & Dogs blend was organized at one of the oldest distilleries in Surrey. The name of the drink contains a reference to the ancient Scottish entertainment – fox hunting, which was banned in the early 2000s.

Production features

To create a drink using high-quality grain and malt distillates. The share of the latter is about 25%. Spirits mature in oak barrels for at least 3 years. The entire process, from distillation to aging, takes place in a Scottish distillery. In Russia, whiskey is only bottled.

  1. Fox & Dogs

    Classic blended whiskey, available in 0,5 and 0,7 l volumes. The blend is characterized by a balanced, sweet, slightly rough taste.

    Color: pleasant, golden amber.

    Fruity, floral, spicy, herbaceous, nutty tones sound the brightest in the bouquet.

    Finish: long, with accents of malt, vanilla and spices, fine chocolate notes.

    Fortress traditional for adhesive tape: 40%.

    The manufacturer recommends the drink as a digestif and the basis for cocktails.

  2. Fox & Dogs Spiced

    A special version of the product is a spicy whiskey-based tincture. Contains cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Colour: light amber. Volume: 0,7 l. Fortress: 35%.

    Top notes: dried fruits, citrus zest, honey, warm spices, malt, green grass, vanilla and coffee.

    Finish: long, sweet-spicy. Suitable for creating warming cocktails and as an addition to strong coffee.
