Every time when the next remedy ends, the question arises: which one to choose next? What is the best shampoo? After all, this is a tool that we use regularly, on which the health of the hair and the appearance of the head of hair depend.

Here, however, you immediately need to decide that the main task of the shampoo is to remove dirt from the hair, while not harming it. When choosing it, pay attention to the composition, especially the content of natural extracts and oils and the place that they are given in the list of ingredients. If everything natural is at the end, and at the beginning there are completely incomprehensible names, then there is very little useful in the shampoo. The first place is always the component that is used the most.

When choosing a shampoo, give preference to the one that is designed specifically for your hair type.

At the same time, you should not get hung up on smell and consistency – they do not affect anything, except only your pleasure. And do not look for vitamins in the composition. How long does it take you to wash your hair? That’s the same. They simply will not have time to act. It is better to drink a vitamin complex after consulting a trichologist.

With all this, when choosing a shampoo, we want to see some kind of effect. To help you decide which shampoo is the best, the editors of Woman’s Day tested the novelties of summer 2015 and shared their impressions.

Nastya Obukhova, editor of the Fashion and Shopping section:

– I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about Paul Mitchell, a professional hair care brand, but I’ve never used it myself. The Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo is my first experience, and it is worth noting, quite successful.

Expectations: according to the description of this product, it is intended to strengthen and refresh the hair, squeeze additional volume and restore the damaged hair structure. The shampoo is based on Australian tea tree oil, as well as extracts of lemon, sage and peppermint. First of all, I hoped to get a good cleansing and gentle care at the same time. Still, shampoo is not a remedy from which you should expect a miracle.

Reality: the shampoo smells very nice: lemon and herbs. And this is one of its main advantages. The composition of the product disappointed me: the soap base – lauryl sulfate – is not on the list of my favorites. For several years now I have tried to use exclusively sulfate-free products. However, I always have a shampoo hidden in the bathroom with an aggressive composition for “preventive” strong cleansing. By the way, despite the presence of SLS ingredients in the list, the shampoo turned out to be very mild. It washes hair well and even moisturizes a little. By the evening, the hair looks all the same fresh, which cannot but rejoice. Without the conditioner, I would not have dared to use it – it tangles the hair quite noticeably, but not as much as natural shampoos without sulfates. Another plus: the product does not irritate my sensitive scalp, after several uses it does not itch or flake off.

Rating: 9 out of 10. Shampoo is good for everyone, except for the presence of sulfates in it and a large amount of other chemicals that I cannot accept.

– Our editor of “Fashion” Nastya Obukhova told me about natural Russian cosmetics Mi & Co. She praised the face fluid very much, and I, having familiarized myself with all the brand’s products, ordered myself a ginger shampoo that gives volume. I was bribed by its composition, which included such components as wheat protein, honeysuckle extract, hemp oil, burdock, sage, thyme extracts, as well as essential oils of red ginger and mandarin. No silicones or sulfates.

Expectations: in the description of the product it is said that “it will fill the hair with vitality, give volume, return elasticity and shine.” I needed all this.

Reality: first of all, I appreciated the aroma of the product – it really smells of ginger. And it is very intense. The smell remains after drying the hair.

Then, in the novelty, I was bribed by the fact that it foams perfectly. To be honest, I didn’t expect this. As you know, natural ingredients do a pretty bad job with this task.

Well, now about the properties. The shampoo cleanses the hair well, and the “fresh” result lasts for a long time. Coped with “Ginger” and giving hair elasticity and shine. Even after it, the hair does not tangle and is well combed.

But, unfortunately, the tool did not cope with its main task, which the manufacturers promise, the creation of volume. At least I didn’t notice it. My hair is down to the shoulder blades and is not very thick, so to wear it loose, I often use styling sprays and mousses. When I bought Ginger, Mi & Co, I hoped to get rid of them, but alas …

However, despite the last fact – disappointment, I do not refuse products from Mi & Co. I continue to use “Ginger”, and when it is over, I want to buy a moisturizing “Honey and Raspberry”.

Rating: 9 out of 10. If the shampoo added volume, I would put all 10!

Due to frequent flights and climate change, my hair does not look its best. Especially in summer, they need gentle care and restoration. Therefore, I wanted to find a product that would perfectly cleanse and not dry out the hair. For testing, I came across the Wella Professionals brand, which I have known for a long time. I like nourishing masks, after which the hair looks just fine.

Expectations: manufacturers promise that the shampoo, which contains champagne extract and menthol, not only tones and refreshes, but also improves the condition of hair and skin.

Reality: It seemed to me that there are simply no drawbacks in this product. I was satisfied with absolutely everything! The product keeps colored hair in excellent condition. The consultants did not disappoint – the shampoo really not only cleanses, but also stimulates hair growth and invigorates well thanks to the menthol that is part of it. It seems to me that this is what you need in the summer!

The aroma also did not disappoint me at all – the product has a slight fresh scent.

And yet, as a bonus, the tool does not confuse dyed hair at all, so even without using an additional balm, the curls are perfectly combed and styled. Even after prolonged use, it does not cause addiction and allergic reactions. In general, it seems to me that I have found my ideal companion!

Evaluation: 10 of 10.

– This is my second attempt to make friends with shampoos from the Loreal Professionnel line. Love at first sight did not happen with us – my friend was delighted with the product, and my hair reacted sluggishly to it: it hung, refusing to keep the volume and was very tangled. But I still decided to give the brand a second chance.

Expectations: soft, sleek hair that stays clean for more than one day. In general, my dream is a shampoo that would allow me to walk with my hair loose for two days in a row. In addition, manufacturers declare that there are no sulfates in the composition and the product brings colored hair back to life. I have just such.

Reality: very pleasant smell! This is just some kind of relaxation, not a traditional shampooing. True, the shampoo does not foam well (this is precisely because it contains natural ingredients, not synthesized from oil), but for the sake of the benefits and health of the hair, you must agree, you can close your eyes to this small drawback. A lot of conditioner is also required, but at the same time it is easily washed off. But even a sufficient amount of balm was not enough for my hair not to get tangled: usually after the conditioner, I even comb it easily when wet. And this time they reached for the comb. The spray solved the problem. Here I am in complete delight from him without any “buts” – he smoothes, and protects during heat-laying, and nourishes, and … what he just does not do there! Except for hair extensions. That is why it is called 10 in 1. After that, the hair not only combed easily, but even got tangled less during the day.

It is already clear to me that this time the experiment can be considered successful: after five uses of the shampoo, the hair became noticeably shinier, softer and more vibrant. Great effect!

Evaluation: 9 out of 10. I took the score off only because he did not realize my dream of a two-day freshness of hair.

– I constantly dye my hair, lately I regularly lighten it, while using curling irons and irons. Therefore, shampoos always choose the most nutritious, which can help my hair to survive all these experiments. NIOXIN is one of the most loved by American stylists for the care of damaged hair. It is usually sold by systems – a set of tools that are combined by the nature of neglect. For testing, I chose system 4 – it promises to bring back to life thin, often dyed hair, which also falls out.

Expectations: fill the mass of hair with nutrients so that it appears smooth and thick. Plus, with the help of the mask, I planned to stimulate hair growth and reduce hair loss.

Reality: the set includes shampoo, balm and leave-in mask for the scalp. The procedure itself was not much different from the usual one: the shampoo foams well, the balm is washed out quickly. True, I did not really like the smell: apparently, the medicinal oils and extracts included in the composition give such a side effect that the manufacturers did not mask with perfumes. However, many will even consider this a plus, but I love it when my hair smells nice after washing.

After I dried my hair with a towel, I applied a mask – I rubbed the product into the scalp, there is no need to rinse it off after that. I felt a chill – the components stimulated blood flow to the bulbs. And then, as usual, I dried my hair with a hairdryer.

In general, the shampoo really added volume, the hair shone beautifully, I didn’t even need to use any additional means for shine. The only thing was that they were tangled and pulled behind the comb, so I had to apply a little fluid. But the best part is that the hair stayed clean for a very long time! Although I exercise every day and usually wash my head every two days, now I can even afford to let my hair down the day after training! This is a huge plus.

In general, I was pleased with the experiment and use this tool completely. I recommend it to those who really have hair problems.

Evaluation: 10 out of 10. Although I am a little poisoned by the impression of a specific smell, I am aware that this is just my subjective opinion, and you may well like it.
