Even in healthy people, one of the main regulators of metabolism can fail in the fall, which affects the nervous system: constant fatigue, loss of strength and mood, insomnia, absent-mindedness, headaches appear. Many return from a vacation at sea, where the body is used to receiving iodine in sufficient quantities, but now it is deprived of it, which also affects the thyroid gland.
Prevention: it is necessary to use preparations with iodine or include salt enriched with this element in the diet. Use it only for ready meals, as iodine evaporates during cooking.
In the autumn-winter period, the consumption of plant foods decreases, fat, fried, jerky or smoked meat, dumplings, sausages appear on the table. The salt, fats and acids they contain increase the viscosity of the blood and interfere with the absorption of calcium. As a result, the regulation of vascular tone is disrupted, the risk of thrombosis, atherosclerosis and heart rhythm problems increases. Most of us, regardless of age, have a chronic lack of calcium, which regulates muscle tone. And muscle fibers are not only in the biceps, but also in the vessels. If there is not enough calcium, the vessel can neither narrow nor expand, which means that the body no longer regulates the change in external pressure, blood circulation is impaired, there is a possible risk of developing hypertension or even a crisis.
Prevention: reduce the consumption of fatty and salty foods, exclude canned juices (contain fruit acids astringent calcium) replace them with non-carbonated mineral (medicinal) water. Include calcium-fortified dairy products on your menu. Regular physical activity is necessary – there is no need to set records, but walk more, do yoga, do exercises, run.
The transition to a new daily regimen, heavy food, lack of vitamins affect the work of the gastrointestinal tract: gastritis, stomach ulcers, and digestive problems appear. The second reason for the exacerbation of chronic gastrointestinal diseases is stress. Adrenaline causes a violent spasm, provoking an active secretion of gastric juice, which irritates the mucous membrane of an empty stomach.
Prevention: Eat a balanced diet, three times a day. Feel free to take food containers with you to work. Eat more fresh or stewed vegetables.
Fans of short jackets, skirts and low-rise jeans often pay for their love of fashion with cold kidneys. In such cases, it takes a lot of time, money and effort to recover. Nephritis, cystitis and other diseases can also be the result of a complication of an ordinary sore throat – an infection from the tonsils enters the kidneys through the lymph. If you experience a sore throat, do not delay treatment.
Prevention: dress warmly, cover your lower back, keep your feet warm. Refuse tight clothing, move more, drink a lot of mineral water, at the slightest sore throat and runny nose, wash the throat and nasopharynx with antiseptics (chlorhexidine, miramistin or a simple composition: vodka 1: 1 with hot water, ½ tsp of honey and 10 drops of lemon juice. Treat your throat with this compound after meals and before bed.)
A weakened immune system is vulnerable to various inflammations, including joints. In the cartilage, metabolic processes are disrupted, substances that make joints strong are produced more slowly, as a result, exacerbations of arthrosis and arthritis begin.
Prevention: do not hesitate to wear thermal underwear and warm clothes, engage in physiotherapy exercises, in case of exacerbations, it will ease the state of health.
