– I am lucky, I live in the most picturesque area of ​​Tallinn, in the area of ​​the national park. There is an entrance to the park 100 meters from my house, where guests can see a corner of the Estonian village: old huts, wells, mills. This is an open-air museum. And my house is located in a green zone, there is a forest all around, there is only one road, which is almost inaudible. You can even meet a moose nearby. I’m not kidding. And this is real happiness – to breathe fresh air, hear birdsong, but at the same time stay in the center of life: it is only 20 minutes from my house by car to the center of Tallinn, 15 minutes to the airport.

– I have a small area where now only ornamental plants grow. Earlier, in the 90s, I even tried to plant carrots, some kind of greens. But do you understand what kind of gardener is a touring artist? No! Although I grew up in a small town, my parents had their own plot, I was accustomed to working in the land. And I decided to give up this venture. Moreover, our supermarkets now have such an abundance of greens and vegetables that there is simply no point in growing our own. We have a well-developed farm in Estonia, all products are of high quality. Therefore, all the vegetables on my table are purchased, locally produced.

But I kept the kindergarten. Several apple trees grow there, which delight with delicious fruits in autumn. I don’t make any preparations, we just eat fresh fruits and give part of the harvest to our neighbors with whom we are friends. Along the fence, my husband and I (Benno Belchikov. – Approx. “Antenna”) planted thujas, which over the years have grown into a real hedge. No one sees or hears me behind these trees. I can enjoy my vacation without leaving the site.

We attached a summer veranda to the house, where we often dine right outside when the weather permits. Benno loves grilled dishes – he fries meat and sausages perfectly. Quite often we get together with the whole family. I’m twice a grandmother. When Curly’s daughter brings her grandchildren to Grandma’s Day, we certainly have dinner together. Grandchildren love to frolic in the garden. And also neighbors often come to us or guests from Russia come, and we sit on the veranda and spend our time warmly.

Oksana Stashenko, actress:

– I like to be outside the city, so the dacha is the best place to rest for me. Previously, we rented a house, and in July last year we decided to buy a plot 40 kilometers from Moscow. Construction began in October and moved there on February 8. There is a phyto-barrel in the house, in which we relax and take a steam bath.

We called our house “the house in the dunes”. The fact is that when we finished the work, we immediately wanted everything to be beautiful. Then it was early spring, clay lay around. And in order to ennoble the view, we ordered sand and laid it around the house. The rest of the territory, namely the forest zone, remained untouched. Since the house is gray-white, and there is sand around it, it seems that it literally stands in the dunes.

In general, everything is stylish here. Even a woodshed and a fence to match the color of the house. In front of him there is a huge terrace, from where we enjoy admiring nature. Strawberries and mushrooms grow right on the plot. We collect all this stuff. We like the process itself. The living room has panoramic windows facing south. I want to plant lavender there. And along the perimeter there will certainly be fruits of all kinds, one tree at a time. Bushes of berries will be located nearby. In early spring, two pines were planted, over the summer they grew by 25 centimeters.

And at the entrance to the courtyard there is also an interesting plant. When I was on tour in Rostov-on-Don, my friends gave me a twig of willow. I brought it home, put it in a vase, and it gave roots! I decided to attach it to the site. Now I look after her with great love. When we had to clear the territory, we saw a bent birch tree, which someone had broken before us. They measured literally by centimeters so as not to hurt her. In the spring, the tree thanked us with fluffy leaves. Of course, we had to disturb some trees. And to make amends, we even apologized to them.

– Our holiday village is located on the banks of the Neva, where we go to swim. On our site there is a two-storey house, a swimming pool and a sauna. I cannot boast of any harvest, because the dacha is a resting place for me. True, now cucumbers are growing, which we have planted for the sake of experiment. There are also 24 year old apple trees. Mom used to do them. From flowers – favorite lilies of the valley and peonies. I come here once a week for four days. We have a great time with children: we go to the river, splash in the pool, play board games, and in the evening we can relax under the stars with a cup of tea.

– The wife really wanted a dacha. I decided to buy a plot on the condition that it would be convenient to get there: no more than five minutes from the train car to the house. Since I’m mostly a city person, I don’t really like to be outside the city. If I do come, it’s only for New Years or birthdays. As soon as we bought the plot, it was 15 years ago, the wife immediately moved there. However, a year later, the roof began to leak there. Then they found cracks on the wall. When they began to examine the foundation in detail, it was not there. The house stood simply on brick pillars. And then my son Sasha unexpectedly showed himself as an unprecedented builder. He broke the house to the ground and built a new one. The result is a pretty two-story building with a veranda. We have all the city amenities: gas, water, heating. Also this year, the son, together with his grandson Pasha, made an extension to the bathhouse so that young people could come there. The grandson with his girlfriend Masha made a real palace out of her! They sawed out something, rubbed it in antique style, dragged bricks from under the old fireplaces. And now, when I go out onto the veranda, looking around at my property, a “landlord feeling” awakens!

– Despite the fact that I am 80 years old, I still try to do something on the site, – enters into a conversation the artist’s wife, Inna Aleksandrovna. – Most of all I like to plant flowers. I like the hosts because they take root well in any soil and withstand even the harshest conditions. I also have tender feelings for hydrangeas, of which we have two bushes. I am proud of a bush of the most beautiful pale lilac lilac. And sprigs of wild grapes wrap around the veranda so cool and create shade. True, now I am guarding all my landings. For example, roses that have recently taken root had a hard time. They were trampled by our country animals: two dogs and four cats. They love to get lost among the greenery in the heat. Buds run and knock. When I meet the morning, I watch from the window or from the porch as the sun rises. The birds are singing. You can listen to them endlessly. What an incredible air here! You can literally drink it. You get out of the car and find yourself in a world of peace and quiet. I can boast of amazing clean and tasty water, which we draw from a well right on the site. By the way, I recently began to notice squirrels near the fence. It turns out that a hazel tree grows there, near which they like to spend time.

Anna Peskova, actress:

– A couple of years ago my husband and I moved out of town. We live not far from the Moscow Ring Road, and, on the one hand, it is convenient for us to get to Moscow, and on the other, our family nest in the fresh air. Earlier, in an apartment, I grew flowers in pots, but now, when I have my own plot, I have a whole garden. That year she planted four bushes of peonies. In the summer they bloomed and delighted me with burgundy, crimson and pale pink flowers. Hortensias are beyond count. I love them very much. There are white, purple, red, green. They are as beautiful as they are troublesome and require special care before wintering. Last year I spent a few days covering them with special material. The winter was cold and snowy, but the flowers survived and continued to delight us.

Recently, a rose of the “Pierre de Ronsard” variety has been growing on the site. My mom bought her cuttings at a worldwide auction in France. This species has been honored with a place in the World Federation of Rose Society Hall of Fame. And they took him out in 1985, the year I was born. In May, she planted it in the garden, the cuttings have already sprouted, and one rose bloomed even in summer. When she grows up, she will beautifully wrap the walls of the gazebos with cream flowers with many petals – up to 65! We also have an unusual willow, its trunk is intertwined in twigs and pigtails, and therefore it is somewhat similar to the character of the film “Guardians of the Galaxy” – a tree-like humanoid Groot.

– And I have already collected six kilograms of currants, there are still seven bushes left. The first apples have gone. I dry them for compotes.
