Which intimate hygiene liquid to choose? 10 rules

Intimate hygiene is extremely important especially for women, because it is ladies who are more exposed to all kinds of intimate infections. Intimate hygiene can be taken care of primarily by using special washing liquids that are dedicated to these parts of our body. But how to choose them, which ones will be the best and the most effective?

10 rules for choosing an intimate hygiene liquid

  1. It is worth choosing a real liquid for intimate hygiene, instead of ordinary soap or washing gel. Why? It contains appropriate substances that prevent infections and irritation of intimate areas. Skin care in these places will be more effective
  2. When choosing an intimate wash, it is important to check its pH level. Choose fluids with an acidic pH. It is also best that they contain lactic acid. In this way, such a fluid will not be washed out of the intimate areas important for the proper functioning of bacteria
  3. A good property of an intimate wash is its anti-perspirant effect. This will keep the intimate area fresher for longer
  4. A good intimate hygiene liquid will also have a light fragrance that, remaining on the skin, will allow you to remove the unpleasant, biological odor of this area of the body
  5. Intimate hygiene fluids should also be constructed in such a way as to protect a woman from any irritation, and in the summer – also from chafing. It is worth asking a pharmacist or saleswoman about the features of a given fluid and its impact on the condition of our skin
  6. Intimate hygiene fluid should not contain skin drying agents. Rather, it should lubricate the skin and mucous membranes, which gives it even better protection against pathogenic microorganisms
  7. It is worth checking the composition of intimate hygiene fluids. Certainly the best ones will not be those that contain strong detergents. What is worth knowing: the higher a given substance is listed in the composition, the more of it there is in a given product
  8. Good liquids are those containing e.g. oak bark extract (Quercus Alba Bark Extract), because it has a soothing effect and prevents the formation of abrasions and redness of the skin
  9. Panthenol, i.e. provitamin B5, contained in the liquids, will have a soothing and moisturizing effect. It is a highly hygroscopic substance
  10. It’s good if the composition also includes allantoin. This substance has a regenerating and nourishing effect on the skin. It facilitates the healing of wounds, e.g. after shaving, and reduces skin redness. In addition, this substance significantly softens the epidermis
