Which computer for Baby?

CD Rom or mini computer?

You are already equipped a home computer (PC or Mac compatible)? So, orient yourself towards special software for toddler. These are programs that you load onto your machine.

Do you prefer to opt for a toy computer? The advantage is that your child can play where and when he wants.

The downside: the quality of the games offered has nothing to do with that of CD-Roms where the image and sound are of better quality.

Precautions to take

If the sound can be adjusted, it is better to lower it as much as possible because if it is too loud it may tire the child.

Install your child at least 50 cm away and no more than ten minutes per session. Either way, beyond that, he’s too small to focus on the game!

Before buying a CD-Rom, take into account that your child is more used to the computer than the age indicated.

Take your child on your knees and accompany him in his discovery. Too small to understand the explanations, it is better to explain it to him in everyday language.

A CD-Rom is expensive, between 15 and 30 €, but it never goes out of fashion. Like video cassettes, Baby will use it often and over the long term. Beware of upgradeable software that is used longer: the games chosen must correspond to the abilities of your little one.

Mac or PC, it doesn’t matter: the use of the CD-Rom is the same.
