In Sweden, unlike in Russia, they write plays specifically for teenagers and are not afraid to speak their language with them — extremely honestly, often harshly and provocatively. In Sweden, unlike in Russia, they write plays specifically for teenagers and are not afraid to speak their language with them — extremely honestly, often harshly and provocatively. These are the six plays by young playwrights included in this collection, compiled with the participation of the Cultural Department of the Swedish Embassy. The authors think about what worries a teenager and what it is difficult for him to talk about with parents or teachers: sex, violence, violation of human rights, the possibilities of the disabled, death, faith in God, the meaning of life … We are also interested in the Swedish «experience»: a performance based on Anders Duus’ play «Now You’re God Again» included in the collection has been running at the Moscow Praktika Theater for a year now.
