At first, you dream of working from home, imagining glamorous pictures: you are lying in your pajamas, surrounded by pillows on your favorite couch, next to delicious tea, a cat purrs or a dog rubs right there. Grace. But in fact, it is quickly discovered that in this situation tea is spilled into bed every now and then, it is inconvenient to hold a laptop, there is nowhere to attach a mouse, the back falls off, and the pets still strive to get into the workflow. You have to get out of a cozy nest and equip yourself a normal home office.
Although normal – this is in most cases said loudly. Ironing boards are very popular – you can put a laptop on them. After all, as it turns out, kitchen tables are usually too low for normal operation. If only you can come up with some kind of stand – which many people do. And one woman shared her decision on Twitter: she moved a chair to the corridor, and adapted a large laundry basket as a table.
In the commentary, other people came to her, exhausted by the constant running around children, dogs and the proximity of the refrigerator. It turns out that even a pet can be adapted as a workplace: he does not mind lying under a warm laptop on the lap of his beloved owner.
But the cats behave waywardly. They do not like that the owner is busy with soulless work, and not admiration for his pet. Therefore, they try to draw a person’s attention to themselves: they lay down on the keyboard, put their head on it, hide under the monitor or sit behind it, looking at the unfortunate victim of a remote location with a reproachful glance. And how to work in such an environment?
He is clearly uncomfortable, but the red-haired robber is not going to leave.
However, some remote workers manage to settle in with complete comfort: a desk, a lamp, a comfortable chair, and next to it is a mini-bar with a bunch of assorted bottles. Or they even use the hinged door of a home bar instead of a table. “You never know what sanitizer I need,” they say calmly. However, we in no way recommend such a way of life.
