When one of the two is famous

The leader of the Night Snipers group, Diana Arbenina, and the actress of the Pushkin Theater, Victoria Isakova, are sure that without their brother and sister, their life would not be the same as it is today.

Diana, 39, musician, and her brother Anton, 27, musician, video director

“I always wanted to have a brother, and when I found out that my mother was pregnant, I was very happy,” Diana admits. “At 12, I kind of saw him as my child. Perhaps it was a manifestation of maternal instinct. She nursed her brother, took him to kindergarten, school, raised him. “She taught me how to live,” Anton smiles, “she beat me on the lips when I cursed. She put the right meanings into her head: honor, conscience, humanity – for her and me, these are not just words. When Diana left Magadan for St. Petersburg, the little brother, very worried, sat on the windowsill and wrote: “Dinya, you are a pig.” Anton, under the influence of his sister, took up music, but chose not rock, but the underground. “Diana adequately perceives my work, and if she says “cool”, then it is really cool. She is interested in my case, and I know everything about what she does. But most importantly, we are close spiritually. This connection will remain forever.” Anton admires Diana’s perseverance, her determination to go against the current for the sake of her goal. And Diana talks about her brother’s vulnerability and his ability to hide this vulnerability. “Somehow he wrote to me: “I don’t know what’s going on in your brilliant head, but still, call your mother.” And I call my mom. We rarely communicate, but there are no emasculated relations between us, when it is necessary to communicate only because we are relatives. In our situation, everything is honest and clean. And I really appreciate it.”

Victoria, 37 years old, actress, and her sister Lyubov, 39 years old, beautician

“We grew up in a noisy company, we fought,” Victoria recalls. – It seemed to the elders – Lyuba and Rudik – that my mother loved me more. I remember how we played: my brother was a pharaoh, my sister was a guard, and I was a slave, and they tortured me. Now, of course, it’s funny to remember.” She calls Luba a dream girl. “All the boys from school looked after her, because of her and me everyone wanted to be friends. In general, Lyuba is the main adviser, assistant and friend. Although I often disagree with her and we can argue to the point of screaming. But of course she is wiser. Rarely asks for help, prefers to figure things out on her own. And I, as a younger sister, demand attention. Lyubov says that as a child she wanted to protect Vika, but she was wayward and did only what she wanted: “We understood that she was strong. With character. Leader. And all my childhood I knew that I had a girlfriend who would not betray. Happiness that we have each other. Although we can yell at each other, hang up the phones … And after five minutes of racing, call and ask for forgiveness. What does she think about her sister’s fame? “I remember this when someone talks about the amazing actress Isakova. And as if inadvertently, I inform you that this is my sister. We are all proud of her. But if tomorrow Vika wants to become a housewife, nothing will change for us. Or it will change for the better – there will be more time for communication.”
