How to cook wheat cereal porridge

Before cooking, the cereals must be rinsed with water several times. And to make the porridge tastier, it is better to cook it in a saucepan with thick walls or a cast-iron pot.
Ingredients: – wheat grits – 1 cup; – water – 2 cups; – salt – to taste; – oil – 70 g.
Pour the cereal into a bowl and rinse it several times with water. Then fill it with the required amount of clean water and put it on fire. Be sure to stir from time to time, especially before boiling, otherwise the cereal will stick to the bottom.
As soon as the water boils, skim off the foam and salt. Then reduce heat, cover the pan with a lid and cook until all the water has boiled away and the cereal is soft. Stir occasionally.
Put butter in the prepared porridge and wait a few minutes until it melts. Then mix the porridge thoroughly and serve.
It is better to cook sweet porridge in milk, adding a very small amount of salt and a sufficient amount of granulated sugar. You can put fruits or nuts in the finished porridge.
