What will happen to the body if you eat only fast food: personal experience

The popular blogger admitted that he has a real addiction to “junk food”. He had hoped to deal with her in the experiment, but something went wrong.

Mike Jeeves, by the age of 34, managed to gain 136 thousand subscribers on YouTube and become addicted to fast food. However, you can’t tell by him: the man is thin, fit and does not look like a fan of fries at all. But Mike honestly admits: he loves fast food, even though after eating his favorite dishes, he feels bad.

Once Mike decided to experiment on his own health: he decided that he would sit only on food from KFC for a week. He hoped that he would eventually get bored with deep-fried chicken and that he would be able to cope with his addiction. Looked for inspiration in the movie “Super Size Me”, the hero of which ate exclusively on food from McDonald’s, and started.

Every day, Mike went to the nearest fast food and stocked everything that was on the menu: wings, strips, potatoes, rolls. I didn’t buy anything else from food.

“I wondered if I would love KFC as much as I did before if I didn’t eat anything else,” says the blogger.

Every day he posted on his channel reports on how his peculiar diet was progressing. As it turned out, for a week the same food did not bore him at all.

“It was fun,” he says. “I was looking forward to the next meal.”

However, Mike’s body was not so much fun at all. After all, he is no longer 17 years old to do this with his health.

“I woke up in the morning with a salt hangover,” he admits. – Every day started with an incredible amount of water. My salt intake has gone up 150 percent. ”

“Over-salinity” of the body does not lead to anything good: experts say that the extreme amount of salt in the diet provokes an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

“By the end of the week, I felt very lethargic, tired, constantly experiencing a terrible thirst,” – says the man about the results of the experiment.

In addition, one would expect Mike to gain weight, because fast food is not only salty, but also quite fatty. By his own words, he began to consume 250 percent more fat than usual. But the weight jump did not happen: on the contrary, the blogger lost about 900 g in a week. This is because he did not overeat, and his daily diet was limited to 2 thousand calories.

“A week after the end of the experiment, I am still plagued with thirst and hellish headaches,” adds Mike. “It was a cool week, but I probably won’t repeat that.”

By the way, he could not cope with addiction. On the contrary, Mike stated that the addiction only intensified.

“It’s probably because of the salt. All food seems unsalted to me now. This bright taste is sorely lacking, ”he laments.

However, not only Mike advises not to mock himself like that, but also doctors. Nutritionist Carrie Roxton said the blogger’s diet was completely unhealthy: the menu lacks key nutrients, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and fiber. And her colleague believes that if Mike continued his experiment, the case would end in obesity, hypertension, diabetes and maybe even cancer.

Yes, instead of an afterword: for the man whose example he was inspired by, the fast food trips ended much worse. He not only gained extra weight, but also earned problems with potency.
