The obstetrician-gynecologist told at what age the body tolerates pregnancy best.
The realities of our life are such that women are increasingly postponing the first birth for the period from 30 to 40 years, when the mother has achieved success in her career and can devote herself to the child. Perhaps this is really important, but still the most optimal age for the birth of the first child is considered to be the period up to 25 years. Until recently, pregnant mothers after 25 years were already considered old-born.
Our expert, Yana Sukhareva, an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Krede Expert clinic, tells about the troubles and complications, the existence of which women often do not even suspect.

Pregnancy up to 25 years of age has a number of advantages: the body of the expectant mother is fully formed, all internal systems are working at full capacity, a small percentage of chronic diseases, pregnancy is easier and without complications.
After 25 years, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, preeclampsia and problems with the placenta become common problems. The risk of kidney disease, cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure increases. Also, with age, the percentage of births of children with chromosomal abnormalities increases, this is especially important if the dad is also of age.
The older a woman is, the more she has a baggage of various diseases, pathologies that dormant until a certain moment. But with the onset of pregnancy, the load on the body increases, the immunity is weakened, and under the influence of these factors, complications of pregnancy arise.
At a young age, lack of sleep is more easily tolerated, the pelvic bones are quite mobile, which greatly contributes to the easy course of childbirth, muscles and tissues are easily stretched. A woman recovers faster after childbirth.
Under the age of 25, intrauterine pathologies develop less often and the risk of miscarriages is low.
A woman is born with a certain supply of eggs, with age this number decreases markedly, which can lead to infertility. Fertility begins to decline by age 30. Some couples have problems with conception, they have to undergo long treatment, IVF is performed, and by the age of 25, the chances of getting a result from such treatment are higher.
Recently, gynecological diseases, which were more common in women after 40 years of age, for example, endometriosis, have become “younger”. In this disease, endometrial cells grow outside the inner layer of the walls of the uterus (in the ovaries, tubes, and so on). Increasingly, endometriosis began to be detected in women under 25 years of age. And if at a young age this disease does not prevent pregnancy, then with age, the chances of a successful pregnancy decrease.
Fibroids are found in young girls, and not small in size. Early detection of this disease and timely treatment allow them to become mothers, while at a later age, myoma threatens miscarriage and bleeding.
The age of high technologies, various kinds of radiation, past infections, bad genetics – all this negatively affects the germ cells, therefore, the offspring will be weak and less resistant to various diseases. These factors should make a woman think about pregnancy earlier.
