The bread is striking in its variety – it is baked from all available types of flour, with different types of leavens and with different additives, spices and seasonings, experimenting with fillings.
Bread is a hearty product and often becomes the basis for a meal as a sandwich, crouton, or bruschetta. But what to do if the bread is dry or starts to deteriorate?
The very first thing – if you know that you have not calculated the amount of bread and you will definitely have a part of the loaf, cut the bread into squares and dry it in the oven. Such croutons will be stored for a long time or, seasoned with herbs and spices, will be quickly eaten by households.
The resulting rusks can be ground and further used to prepare delicious breading. Crackers are also used as an ingredient in baking, just replace some of the flour with dried bread.
It is not necessary to dry the bread to add it to a charlotte or casserole – just soak it and knead it with your hands. This crumb can also be used to make minced meat.
