Faced with the first manifestations of toxicosis, you need to immediately reconsider your culinary preferences. Food rejection and lack of appetite lead to metabolic disorders, which negatively affects the development of a tiny organism.

- With frequent vomiting, pickles are not neglected to restore the balance of chlorine and sodium in the body.
With severe toxicosis, the main dishes are prepared by boiling, consumed in a mashed form and only warm. Rabbit meat is suitable from meat, veal – baked, boiled or steamed.
What to eat for pregnant women with toxicosis in the second half of pregnancy
With late toxicosis or gestosis, the use of salt is limited, which provokes fluid retention in the body. Meals are planned taking into account a number of recommendations:
- the main rule is moderation in food, which will eliminate excessive weight gain.
- with severe edema and kidney problems, foods rich in magnesium salts are introduced into the diet – low-fat cheeses, cereals, dried fruits, nuts, veal liver.
- provide the body with sufficient protein. It is present in boiled fish, cottage cheese, boiled lean meat. For 1 kg of body, at least 1,5 grams of protein should be supplied.
- due to a change in the acid-base balance towards a decrease, it is necessary to introduce into the diet “alkaline” vegetables and berries. You can cook pumpkin porridge with milk and honey.
It is important to know that honey during pregnancy can be both useful and harmful, therefore, it is eaten in an amount of no more than a couple of teaspoons per day.
Taking into account the above recommendations, it is possible to exclude acute manifestations of toxicosis, ensuring an easy and pleasant course of pregnancy.
