What to do with old sausages?
Sausages are a perishable product, therefore, the conditions and storage times specified by the manufacturer must be taken into account. If they become unpleasant, discolored, or covered in mucus, they should not be eaten. Fresh sausages need to be boiled as soon as possible; those left in the refrigerator are less tasty. In everyday life, sausages are often stored in the freezer for better conservation, however, prolonged freezing makes them dry and less tasty. If sausages have been bought for a long time, but are still edible, you can use them as a meat component in dishes that have a strong taste, for example, in a vegetable stew. You can also add them to flavorful soups, such as a mixed hodgepodge.
