The main problem that almost every gardener faced was the yellowing of the garlic tops in summer. It turns out that this can be avoided by knowing just a few simple rules.
If the plant on your site suddenly began to turn yellow, then it’s time to feed it, turning to folk remedies for help. It is these products that are good because they do not contain chemicals – pesticides and herbicides.
If the tips start to turn yellow, this is a sign of nitrogen starvation. One of the options for effective fertilization is a solution that can be prepared in the following way: 10 g of carbamide (aka urea) is taken for 30 liters of water. The substance will completely dissolve in the liquid. It is necessary to stir all this and bring to the total volume.
Place the resulting mixture in a watering can and spray the garlic beds with it. It should be noted that feeding can be carried out both by direct watering of the plant under the root, and by spraying.
There are a number of other substances that can be used for feeding, which will help protect garlic from yellowing. These include the following trace elements:
wood ash;
superphosphate;
potassium salt;
potassium sulfate;
tincture of iodine.
In May, garlic needs more nitrogen supplements, and in June, potassium-phosphorus supplements.
