What to do if beans are burnt during cooking
Cooking beans already takes a lot of time, and burnt beans can nullify all efforts. If the beans are burnt, do not rush to throw them away – it will always be in time. The condition of the “patient” should be assessed and resuscitation should be attempted.
Lightly burnt, only at the bottom, the beans are quite edible. You can gently peel off the top layer of the beans, transfer them to a clean container and eat them peacefully. And if the beans are not yet ready, cook in a clean saucepan, pouring cold water.
If the beans are burnt badly and are saturated with the smell of burning, then, alas, they have a direct road to the trash can. Such a “masterpiece” will be impossible to eat because of the disgusting taste. It is better to cook the beans according to all the rules. By the way, for such cases – in order to always be able to quickly cook the beans, soak them more and freeze the leftovers.
