Yesterday I received an MMS with a photo of the packaging (nutritional values and composition) of the student mix from Biedronka from one of my friends. A question was asked: Charles, is it good to eat? It looks healthy 🙂 let me know.
I do not like being a carrier of bad news and I was wondering what to write back to her so that she would not tell me again that then it was not allowed to eat anything. I wrote back: – has palm oil and dried fruit plus a lot of calories, practically as much as a chocolate bar. Palm fat is not needed in our diet. It only brings harm and destroys our circulatory system. Under stress, I am waiting for a sharp retort. Here comes an unexpected response: Hihi is why it’s so tasty: )
This short story shows that we often find that something is delicious and even seems healthy. However, after getting acquainted with the ingredients, it turns out that the producer, baker or each of us could spoil something to make his product or dish tastier, but also less healthy.
And what are the other products / dishes that you think are healthy, but they are not? I will list a few of the most common questions in your e-mails and I will tell you why these are not entirely good choices.

Hearing this term you can almost be sure that wholegrain means healthy or recommended. If you add fat, sugar, chocolate and dried fruits to such baking, you can collect up to 400 kcal in one muffin. Bean, pumpkin or carrot cake, the very name immediately indicates the health of these pastries. The recommendation is to eat 5 servings of vegetables and fruit a day. Is such a vegetable pie good for one of the daily portions of vegetables? Unfortunately, not always. Carrot cake, apart from carrot, is often in its composition fat, sugar, dried fruit and nuts. All this means that one piece of such a cake can carry even 400-500 kcal. Please visit the Recipes section for tasty recipes for carrot cake.
Is the cheesecake dietary?
The leanest cake in the world – I heard from a friend. Well, it’s on cottage cheese. And the one in the diet is definitely recommended. Hmmm .. it is recommended, but not in as many configurations with other ingredients as in the cheesecake. Traditional cheesecake is most often prepared with semi-fat or high-fat cottage cheese, it is also added heavy cream, there are also eggs or just yolks and sugar. There are cheesecakes prepared on the basis of Mascarpone. These are even more fattening and caloric. Cheesecake is not a lean cottage cheese. This is one of the most caloric cakes. 1 piece is from 300 to even 500 kcal. To find cheesecake recipes leaner than I describe, I invite you to read: 5 of the leanest cheesecakes – user recipes
