- 140 calendar days if the pregnancy is uneventful;

- 194 days if a woman is pregnant with two or more children at the same time.

From how many weeks can you go on maternity leave
If a woman is pregnant with one baby, then she goes on a well-deserved rest from 30 weeks, that is, she gets 70 days before giving birth and 70 days after giving birth. If a pregnant woman is expecting twins, triplets or more babies, she can go on maternity leave from 28 weeks.
Sometimes unforeseen circumstances occur, and a woman needs to stay in the hospital for treatment before or after childbirth. In this case, she gets sick leave. The sick leave must be obtained from the doctor in the antenatal clinic, in which the workers are engaged in the management of pregnancy.

According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, a woman can go on maternity leave ahead of schedule. To do this, she needs to write an application for her annual paid leave and attach it to the decree. This leave can be used before or after maternity leave.
