What the belly looks like after twins: real photos of moms
Multiple pregnancies are stressful for both the expectant mother and the doctors. It is usually more difficult than waiting for one baby. And you have to deal with the consequences longer.

“Pregnancy was given to me dearly”
“I am 26. My pregnancy was given to me very dearly – with sweat and tears. In 2013, I got married and we immediately started planning the baby. After a year of efforts, there was no result. Then we went to the doctor and, having passed all the examinations, received a diagnosis of “immunological infertility” (incompatibility). We were undergoing treatment for almost a year and were able to almost completely extinguish the immunity to each other’s bodies. In August 2015, the long-awaited pregnancy came. But the bleeding, a week in the hospital on preservation and emergency resuscitation … The pregnancy turned out to be ectopic, I was barely saved by removing the right tube. They gave a year for an independent pregnancy with one tube. A year later, it became clear that nothing would come of it. Again examinations, and, as a result, my husband has a very bad spermogram. It was then that I realized that IVF should be done. In the end, everything worked out on the first try. At the 33rd week, I gave birth to my twin boys. And these are the best moments in my life! “
“The belly was huge.”
“My story is trivial. A terrible scar was left from appendicitis, which was excised at the age of 19. Was on the verge, sewed very quickly and, as it turned out, crooked. At the age of 27, she gave birth to twins: she wore up to 39 weeks, each was born at 3180 grams. The belly was huge. After 9 years, she became pregnant again. And 8 months ago the youngest was born. Since the day before the birth, I have already got rid of more than 20 kilograms, but the stomach requires surgery: strong diastasis. In the photo, I tighten my muscles, otherwise my stomach sticks out with a belly, as in pregnancy. Now sports and nutrition help me to correct my figure. And my belly is a reminder of wonderful pregnancies and that I have great daughters. “
“It’s harder with twins”
“I am 32, and I have three wonderful daughters – the eldest is 6 years old and the twins are 7 months old. After the first pregnancy, she quickly returned to her previous shape, there were no stretch marks or excess weight. With twins, everything is more complicated. A huge belly that grew, itched and cracked with incredible force. And what I just did not smear, and wore a bandage. Caesarean section at 36 weeks, babies were born weighing 2580 and 2465 grams. As a result of twin pregnancy – huge diastasis and torn skin on the abdomen. After giving birth, the stomach did not go away at all, the overstretched muscles did not hold anything. I wore a bandage, did the exercises. The abdomen has more or less tightened up and no longer looks like the 6th month of pregnancy. I am planning an operation when the children will be 1,5 years old. Exercises alone will not correct the situation, but I want my flat and beautiful belly back. I am not ashamed of the scar from the COP, maybe later I will remove it with a laser, but stretch marks are horror. “
