PSYchology

Nothing seems to be happening. At all. And this life goes on. How to make it so that it does not pass by?

«What power governs everything?» — Leo Tolstoy asked the universe through the lips of Pierre Bezukhov, who was confused in life. The answer to this eternal question often came to mankind in the form of something grandiose: God, the devil, the world mind, eternal femininity … Chekhov, with his vision of a doctor, was needed to answer simply and diagnostically accurately: the world is ruled by everyday life. It creates a rut for a person, where it imperceptibly pushes him and where his transformation begins just as imperceptibly …

Day and night, day and night away. We got up, washed, ate, went to work, had lunch, worked, then went home, sofa, TV, sleep. There are variations, but usually they are few. Eventless, slowly stretching, consisting of identical segments, life fits into months and years — and flies surprisingly quickly.

How to decorate the Christmas tree again? It seems that they just took it apart … You look at yourself in the mirror: “Is that one over there really me? Did my mother love such, Yellow-gray, half-gray And omniscient as a snake? ” * When did I manage to become what I did not want to become? Why did everything turn out so that everything turned out wrong? And where is the bird of happiness? And what is the power behind all of this?

This power is the hidden course of life. The trouble is that nothing happens to us — we just live, immersed in everyday life, routine, life. We perform actions that have become automatic, walk the same routes, choose the same products in stores. The new rarely knocks on our door and mostly scares us.

Meanwhile, in life there is not one (invented by us to ourselves) track. And maybe the beginning of the year is the best time to remember this. If we feel like a squirrel in a wheel, if in the morning we don’t want to open our eyes and fit into a new day, like into old clothes, if we have everything, but we don’t smell of the joy of life, we are in a rut. And you need to get out of it immediately.

A radical escape is not required. For starters, you can try different zigzags. Return from work by a different route. Imagine that we are in an unfamiliar city — and walk along the usual street, looking at it through the eyes of a tourist. Announce a week of dinners in cafes and restaurants (and if, on the contrary, you are tired of restaurants, then it’s time to cook something exotic in your own kitchen). Rent a hotel for one night — and spend the night there, as if we were on vacation. Go to places where you usually didn’t even think to go: bowling, dancing, fitness center, museum or cinema.

Start learning the language. At least some. Vietnamese. Itelmensky. Urdu. What for? Nothing. Just to show the universe who’s boss. So that the track is not very imaginative.
