The flavor and the soothing properties of the tea make it indispensable, and in addition to black and green to this tea, we can include white, Oolong, and PU-erh. Each type of tea in its effect on the body and the properties of tea depends on the site of a collection of the tea Bush leaves and the way you handle them.
The more processed the tea leaves, the less the content of flavonoids, the action of which is largely a result of the positive effects of tea on the body. This principle we used when compiling our rankings.
1st place – Green tea
The least processed and therefore non-oxidized or slightly oxidized (3-12 %), and nutritionists often recommend it. It is a great source of antioxidants, promotes fat burning, prolongs life, reduces stress, increases brain activity, reduces blood pressure, is good for your teeth, promotes bone growth, improves the immune system, and restores the water balance in the body better than water.
2nd place – White tea
This is a tea made from unopened tea buds (tips) and young leaves. It also undergoes minimal processing but generally has a higher degree of oxidation than green (up to 12 %). This white tea, when brewing darker compared to the green. White tea carries those same qualities as green, but in a lesser concentration, and can also improve glucose tolerance and lowers cholesterol.
3rd place – Oolong
The degree of oxidation varies from 30 to 70%, which reduces the beneficial properties of tea leaves but does not remove them completely. This tea has a very distinctive taste, and it cannot be confused with other types of this drink.
4th place – Black tea
Strongly oxidized (80 %). Due to the high degree of fermentation of tea leaves, black tea has the highest caffeine content. Studies have shown that black tea may protect the lungs from damage caused by exposure to cigarette smoke and reduce stroke risk.
5th place – Puer
The degree of oxidation not lower than that of Oolong tea. Pu-erh tea is a luxury tea extract, and the larger it is, the tea is better. Good PU-erh tea invigorates, tones, and improves the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.
Earlier, we talked about that, and Australia has created an unusual “beer” tea and the 10 mistakes we make when drinking tea.
