Still, virtual life has its advantages. And it is good not only because you can quickly make contact, find information, find out the news. Virtual life is also good because the waves that daily roll over us from social networks bring with them pieces of a different reality, about which otherwise we would never know anything.
Most of us, residents of big cities, are separated from it by geographical, social, professional, and who knows what other barriers. This month, I experienced the acute joy of virtual dating twice, thanks to the cursed by many «Facebook» (an extremist organization banned in Russia). At first, a colleague drew attention to a post in which lawyer Yerzhan Yesimkhanov conveyed his conversation at a resort with the Spaniards about love for the motherland. But it was not even in the sense of the story (which touched something important in us, because it collected under 30 thousand likes), but in this man himself from Almaty, an employee of an international law firm who has two-year-old twins and who writes about his family , work and life around. All this has nothing to do with me, but I probably spent an hour “spying” on this most ordinary life, enjoying the Russian language and just rejoicing at the existence of this man and his family, I don’t know why. I actually know because it’s real. And “mysterious as Banksy” (as my other colleague attested to him), the author of the tape of the Kubanzheldormash plant also writes about the life of his harsh plant with such love, pride and in such artistic details that dozens of fans showered him with enthusiastic confessions: “It’s just to live I want to read you” or “I never thought that I would subscribe to a tape of industrial production.” And it’s not just that office hamsters and other hipsters retain a reverence for the hard work of hard workers producing powerful machines.
- Can you live in the present?
And not only in the undoubted talent and brilliant style of an anonymous employee of the marketing department in Armavir, which is almost equally anonymous for many.
And also in the joy of the fact that somewhere far away people experience and are able to express feelings that resonate with us and inspire hope. They are not indifferent, they are attached to their country, they do business, they respect the past, they appreciate those who are nearby. There is no cynicism in them, but there is a sense of language and a sense of humor. After such a reading, indeed, «I want to live.»
What reasons do you have for optimism?
