Milk is not only a product that mammals provide. Milk is also made from plant products, you probably do not even expect that can serve as the basis for creating milk. What types are there and what are the benefits of them?

Plant-based milk does not contain the protein casein, the indigestion of which is very common among humans. Therefore, there is an alternative to cow and goat milk – and this is great news!

Oat milk

Cereal oat milk is made from soaked oatmeal, whipped in a blender and strained. This sweet-tasting liquid is very well absorbed by the body – and this is protein, vitamin B and fiber. Since this type of milk contains gluten, it is not suitable for people who avoid this component in their food.

 

Soy milk

This milk is made from soybeans and is popular mainly in Asian countries. It is creamy and very soft in taste and is used to make the famous tofu cheese, which is popular with vegetarians as a source of protein. Soy milk is low-fat and low-calorie, and therefore suitable for dietary and sports nutrition. This milk contains a lot of calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, selenium and phosphorus, it is inexpensive and not uncommon in the retail trade. Due to the content of female hormones in soy milk, it is especially recommended in the diet of the weaker sex.

Almond milk

This lactose-free milk is very popular with vegans and people suffering from lactose intolerance. Delicate and sweet in taste, it is liked by everyone who tastes it. Almond milk is rich in omega-3 acids, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc and calcium. Milk is prepared from soaked peeled almonds, water, honey and vanilla – the ingredients are interrupted with a blender. It is advisable to introduce almond milk into the diet of pregnant women and people with cardiovascular diseases.

Rice milk

Rice milk is lactose-free and gluten-free, but not only for these properties it is appreciated in the world of culinary. This milk tastes sweet and delicate, it contains a lot of protein and complex carbohydrates that provide satiety, vitamins B and D, calcium and antioxidants. This milk is made from brown rice, which is high in fiber and is very beneficial for the gastrointestinal tract.

Coconut milk

Despite its somewhat sugary sweetness, coconut milk contains some sugar. And it contains vitamins of group B, C, selenium, calcium, copper, zinc, manganese, useful acids. Coconut milk is easy to make yourself. To make coconut milk, simply cover the coconut pulp with warm water and strain after an hour. Coconut milk is considered to be an excellent antiviral agent as it contains lauric acid, which increases immunity.

Cashew milk

Milk from this nut is quite expensive, not very tasty and nutritious. Cashew milk is high in protein and calcium, as well as healthy fats. The whole benefit of cashew milk, just because of its consistency, is absorbed better and faster.

Pumpkin milk

Poppy milk
