As a result of the significant development of science, especially technology and medicine, the ever-increasing offer of various services provided on the market and, above all, the change in human views, preferences and mentality over the years, there is no doubt that more and more recipients are gaining aesthetic medicine treatments.
Contrary to appearances, not only women decide on them, but it has been noticed that there is an increasing interest in improving their appearance in this way also among men. One thing is beyond doubt – each of us could certainly name one part of our body that we would like to improve or completely change. Aesthetic medicine includes a number of services, including in particular: medical peelings, nose and eyelid correction, photorejuvenation, discoloration removal, laser hair removal, mesotherapy, and above all, lip augmentation, which is probably the most popular. After all, which of the ladies has never dreamed of perfect, full lips, which are most often presented on TV, the Internet or in the press, by equally good-looking celebrities.
In turn, when it comes to the lip augmentation procedure itself, compared to the effect achieved thanks to it, which lasts up to 12 months, it lasts relatively short, from 20-40 minutes, and the first result is visible after a few days (about 4-6 days). Many concerns, however, raise the question of whether the procedure itself is painful. The answer to that is not really simple at all. Considering the various methods of anesthesia, in many cases possible discomfort can be significantly minimized or even completely eliminated. However, the level of pain itself ultimately depends on the individual characteristics of the patient and his resistance.
Lips are most often enlarged using botulinum toxin (commonly called Botox) as well as hyaluronic acid. Nevertheless, the latter is much more often recommended by medical specialists. Due to the fact that hyaluronic acid is one of the natural components of human skin, it is perfect for enlarging, modeling or correcting the shape of the lips. In addition, it is safe and brings a satisfactory effect.
When deciding on lip augmentation/modelling, we must first of all remember that the procedure itself should be performed in a medical facility, in a suitably adapted/sterile office, by a qualified medical specialist. Also in this case, the price of a professional procedure is often an indicator of its quality. Prices usually range from PLN 800 to several thousand. Therefore, too low a cost should arouse our suspicions. In turn, referring to the contraindications of lip augmentation, herpes and pregnancy are definitely in the first place, which may be an obstacle to the procedure.
At the very end, it is worth mentioning that satisfaction with one’s own appearance helps to combat complexes, significantly improving our well-being and mental comfort, which often coincides with achieving more frequent life successes and increasing self-esteem.
