Prison in Loff’s dream book
The psychotherapist believes that the interpretation of dreams about prison depends on the individual and his life circumstances. If for some, restriction of freedom in a dream is an alarming sign, a cause for concern, for others it is a symbol of solitude, tranquility, and security. Either way, this is a call for introspection. Think, are you in a situation in which there is no choice, or, conversely, there are plenty of ways to solve it? A hint for you may be the number of rooms in the prison – one or more. But it is possible that even with many options, there will be no way out of the impasse and you will need to look for other ways. How to make the right choice? Remember the details of the dream, it is in them that the answer to the question lies. Look for familiar traits and signs in your cellmates or prison staff, in your place of detention, realize the reason for escaping.

Prison in the Esoteric dream book
Esotericists divide dreams about prison into two types: with a figurative interpretation and with a direct one. In the first case, it is a symbol of the absence of restrictions in your life. But at the same time, you cannot be called a reckless person. Even if absolutely nothing is holding you back, then your inner framework is still preserved, thanks to your prudence and prudence.
Dreams of the second category speak of real unfreedom in your life. It can be anything from being forced to stay within the four walls of your home and being banned from leaving the country to real problems with the law.
Dreams in which another person was imprisoned have some intermediate meaning: you will have a permanent place where you can fulfill many desires, successfully realize yourself, and feel free. But for the sake of this freedom, you will have to partly sacrifice your independence.
Psychologist’s comment
Galina Tsvetokhina, psychologist, regressologist, MAC specialist:
In the psychology of dreams, prison is most often responsible for the unconscious restriction of freedom. Next, two questions need to be asked:
- it was we who drove ourselves into prison, decided to voluntarily limit our freedom;
- someone forcibly deprives us of our freedom.
And if in the first case we analyze the reasons why we once made such a decision, and then we eliminate all limiting beliefs associated with this situation, then in the second case we will have to turn to more complex diagnostic mechanisms in order to understand who/ why/why did you decide to limit our freedom and why we agreed to it.
In any case, the dream suggests that a person has problems with feelings of freedom and security, as well as with self-expression. I advise you to work out the threat to safety and life.
This dream also concerns the issues of rejection or rejection by the human psyche of the fact of the lack of freedom of his physical body, that is, his physical limitations, disability. Sometimes, very rarely, it can be about the very fact of imprisonment.
