The amulet is designed to protect its wearer. He protects from diseases, the evil eye, all kinds of troubles. They can be either of a general orientation, averting misfortune and failure, or for specific purposes.
For example, a rock crystal amulet will provide protection against significant temperature changes. It will help not to freeze in extreme cold and prevent overheating of the body in hot weather.
Suitable for the amulet:
- precious and semi-precious stones;
- fangs or claws of animals, or objects of a similar shape;

- dried plants that have the ability to drive away evil forces (garlic, incense, thistle, sandalwood are best known for their effectiveness);
- various pendants with magic symbols and inscriptions (magic words, runes, and so on);

- figurines of various animals or plants;
- symbolic figures of people or deities;

- some plants (for example, a four-leaf clover leaf brings wealth to those who manage to find it).
How to wear?
In order for the amulet to fully manifest its protective properties, it must be in contact with the owner’s body. Therefore, such a little thing is always worn on itself: as a pendant, bracelet, necklace.
If a person wants to use any stone specifically as an amulet, it is most advisable to use it as part of the listed jewelry. But in a ring frame or in earrings, it will no longer be so effective, since there is no direct contact with the owner’s skin.
But the talisman is easy enough to carry with you. You can store it in your purse, wallet, put in your clothes pocket. Here, direct contact with the owner’s body is not at all necessary, so jewelry can also serve as talismans: rings, earrings, brooches.
What are the similarities?
A common similarity is that this item is highly individual. Such a magical assistant can have only one owner, with the energy of which he interacts. This applies to family talismans and amulets.
They are passed down from generation to generation in the same family. But at a given time, an item belongs to only one person. You cannot use this thing together or in turn.
An item purchased or donated for such a purpose is always cleared of someone else’s energy. There are several ways to clear things from other people’s energy. Simple ones: using water or sunlight. The object is placed for several days in a bowl of salted water, or under the rays of the sun anywhere, more often on a windowsill.
If the water purification method was used, then the water must be poured out. But not into the water supply, but beyond the threshold of the house, to the ground.
You cannot allow other people to touch your amulet or talisman. This can damage the well-established energetic connection of the magic item with the owner.
It is best to hide it from prying eyes. Of course, the connection can be restored using methods of clearing someone else’s energy, but it is easier to protect yourself from unnecessary trouble.

What is the difference between an amulet and a talisman? An amulet is a personal protector, and a talisman is an assistant. In rare cases, the same item can serve as both a talisman and an amulet at the same time. But it is better to choose your own thing for each goal, then the result will be much more noticeable.
