Sleeping on your back

  • Benefits: Prevents neck and back pain by adopting a natural position for the head and spine. Reduces gastric influx and minimizes facial wrinkles.
  • Disadvantages: Promotes snoring.
  • Psychology: Calm and reserved.
  • Pillow: A well-padded pillow to support the neck and head, but without lifting it too much. Conclusion: Good position.

  • Benefits: Reduces snoring as well as gastric reflux. Sleeping on your left side promotes blood circulation. This is the best position for pregnant women.
  • Cons: Sleeping on the same side for long hours is not very good for the face and can sag the chest. May cause shoulder and hip pain.
  • Psychology: Social and easy going.
  • And the pillow: A thick pillow to fill the space between the shoulders and the neck to keep a neutral position for the spine.

Sleep in a fetal position

  • Benefits: Helps pregnant women and people who snore sleep better.
  • Disadvantages: Can promote arthritis due to prolonged bad position of the neck and spine, but also the knees, which are bent for long hours. Breathing may be hindered due to compression in the chest. Promotes the appearance of wrinkles on the face.
  • Psychology: Shy and sensitive, but tends to show the opposite in society.
