Snoring is a specific process that accompanies the breathing of a person or animal in a dream, and is expressed by a distinct low-frequency, rattling sound and vibration.
The causes of snoring can be different – this is a curvature of the nasal septum, chronic diseases of the nasopharynx, but quite often the cause is obesity and concomitant stretching of the upper palate. If a person with a soft palate is all right, then no matter how he breathes, snoring will not occur, but if the soft palate is weakened and sagging, then the movement of air causes the soft palate to oscillate and an unpleasant sound in the form of snoring occurs. That is, snoring is associated with the fact that during sleep a person involuntarily relaxes the soft palate and tongue. Snoring occurs due to the vibration of the soft tissues of the larynx, due to the peculiarities of the anatomical structure of a person.

Strong snoring can reach a volume of 112 dB. However, the snorer usually does not hear his own snoring. Snoring usually interferes with the sleeping partner, who during the time of falling asleep and during the night is tormented by the sounds of snoring. As a result, the partner of the snoring person in the morning feels sleepy, tired, irritable.
