After a full complementary feeding, when the baby begins to eat from the common table, the parents relax and lose their vigilance, not really thinking that some foods can seriously harm the health of even a five-year-old baby. That in no case should children under 5, or even up to 7 years old try?
Smoked fish
If fish were smoked naturally, then, perhaps, a proven product could be offered to a small child. What’s the point, though? For smoking fish, it uses liquid smoke, which is unsafe due to the content of toxic substances in it. Eating smoked fish can provoke allergies, immune disorders, and serious poisoning.
Nuts
Nuts are a strong allergen, and feeding them to young children is a big mistake. Also, nuts contain a lot of protein, which is difficult for an immature body to digest. This is not to mention the serious danger of suffocation if a small, unchewed nut gets stuck in the throat.
mushrooms
Even mushroom broth is contraindicated for children under 7 years old, and if a child has digestive problems, then up to 10-12. Mushrooms contain quinine and enzymes that help to assimilate it begin to be produced just at the age of about 7 years. Mushrooms also absorb substances from the environment at their place of growth, and what can pass unnoticed for an adult, can be fatal to a small child.
Sausages
Who else believes that commercial sausages contain meat? Sausage is often ground by-products, soy and preservatives for long-term storage and great taste. We should also pay attention to the exorbitant salt content. It is unlikely that after 5 years the sausage will suddenly become much more useful for the child, but at least the body will be able to “swallow” this surrogate.
Seafood
Seafood and shellfish are highly allergenic foods and giving them to young children is a conscious risk-taking. Also, mollusks, like mushrooms, absorb toxins around them, and another poisoning from eating such food cannot be avoided.
Sweet Carbonated Drinks
As for soda water in general, kids are not allowed to drink it. Sweet carbonated drinks are especially dangerous, as they contain a huge amount of sugar and caffeine. Such drinks are undesirable up to 10-12 years old – they can provoke an increase in pressure, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, overexcitation and sleep disturbances.
Shop sweets
Even homemade proven sweets should be dosed by adults, what can we say about store-bought vanilla cakes and margarine cookies? Long shelf life, plastic taste and chemically iridescent colors – all this will get into an unprepared child’s body and provoke not only an allergic reaction, but also a complete breakdown of all systems. And a large amount of sugar, as in soda, will provoke nervous overexcitement and insomnia.
