What is better not to order in restaurants

Restaurant dishes cost a lot, and everyone expects an explosion of taste from a trip to such an establishment, and certainly not disappointment. But even in a better restaurant, the customer’s expectations may not be met. What is better not to order from the menu so as not to get into a mess?

Non-conceptual meals

For Italian pasta it is better to go to an Italian restaurant, for sushi – to a Japanese one. You should not expect that these dishes will be at the level in a non-core restaurant. Specialty establishments take pride in their specialties and pay special attention to them. And the dishes outside the concept will be of average quality.

 

Well done steak

At home, you probably fry the meat until it is fully cooked if you are not sure about its freshness or quality. Fully fried meat in a restaurant hides stale or frozen pieces underneath, because you will not notice the difference after cooking. That is why it is worth enjoying the taste of all fresh meat juices in a restaurant and being sure that there is a fresh piece in front of you.

Slicing

In order to save money, restaurants let their guests eat half-eaten food for all kinds of cuts and snacks. According to statistics, the risk group includes cheese, meat and vegetable cuts, as well as bread baskets, herbs and olives.

Cream soup

Mid-price restaurants offer mashed soups made from powdered concentrates on the menu. It is unlikely that you want to pay a lot of money for this. A sure-fire way to enjoy natural ingredients is to order a classic soup that shows all the ingredients.

Exotic dishes

Exotic dishes are good in specialized restaurants in countries where rare “ingredients” are found. Otherwise, octopus tentacles or shark steak will be bought at the nearest supermarket, thawed, cooked and sold to you at a restaurant at an overpriced price. This is especially true of popular oysters: it is not known how these mollusks were stored and transported, and poisoning with them is easier than ever.

Pasta Carbonara

This is a classic of Italian cuisine, but in our restaurants this hit is prepared according to their own recipes, which have nothing to do with the original recipe. The Carbonara paste should contain veal cheeks, Pecorino Romano cheese and eggs. Not cream, wine, or bacon.

Dishes with truffle oil

Truffle oil is an incredibly expensive product. Despite the name, this oil has nothing to do with truffles. It is made on the basis of olive oil with the addition of synthetic components that give the product a truffle taste and aroma.

Pizza with gourmet or minced meat

In pizza with minced meat, it is impossible to determine the quality of the meat that was included in its composition. And there is a chance that you will not be served fresh food. Pizza with delicacies such as Parma ham, jamon or seafood is not only expensive, but there will be very little toppings in it.
