  • Garlic – 1 head

  • Salt (coarse) – 0,5 tbsp.

  • Pepper (black peas) – 10 peas

How to cook

Scrape the bacon on all sides with a knife, then rinse with cold water and cut into 4–5 approximately equal pieces. We put them in a glass or enamel dish, add peeled garlic, mashed bay leaves and slightly crushed peppercorns. Sprinkle with salt and pour boiling water over. We put the bacon in a cool place to cool down faster. If you prepare lard in the evening, then in the morning you can already taste it.

Important! Quickly salted bacon can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than a month. But it will stay in the freezer much longer.
