What hair color suits you: choose coloring by color type

If you decide to experiment with your appearance by changing your hair color, we suggest choosing a coloring according to your color type.

How to match hair color to your face: stylist’s tips

To understand which hair color suits your appearance, it is necessary to determine the color type according to “natural” criteria (without cosmetics and with a natural shade of curls). It is important to pay attention to the lighting, which should be natural at this moment. We also advise you to completely distance yourself from your favorite and familiar colors, because it can be chosen by mistake.

Type 1: spring

The lightest color type.

Notable representatives: Sienna Miller, Anna Kournikova, Naomi Watts, Paris Hilton, Renata Litvinova, Margot Robbie.

Description of the flower type «vesna»

  • Your natural hair color is light blond.

  • The complexion is almost transparent, there is a delicate peach blush on the cheeks.

  • Freckles of a golden brown hue (not gray) are possible.

  • A tan of a delicate shade of “coffee with milk” lays well, but it can even reach a dark brown color.

  • The eyes are gray, pistachio, yellowish green, blue, but not dark.

Suitable colors for dyeing

Warm light shades – from wheat to intense honey, can revive the look with golden strands.

Should be abandoned from fiery red shades. Also exclude dark brown tones – they deprive the image of tenderness and often visually make them older than their years.

Expert Tips

You can choose the color of hair dye based on:

  • eye color;

  • skin color;

  • flower-type entries.

I prefer first of all to determine the type of appearance and, most importantly, to correctly determine whether a warm or cold shade suits my clients. If there is a yellow pigment in the color, it is a warm color, and if it is gray or blue, then it is a cold color. Example: gold is warm and silver is cold.

Clients often come to me with the wrong color for them after dyeing. This situation can arise for a number of reasons.

  • Customers order a certain color themselves, which doesn’t really suit them.

  • Women choose the shade on the advice of an incompetent hairdresser.

  • The colorist did not get the desired color when mixing paints.

How do you figure out whether a certain color is suitable or not? Before drastically changing the shade of your hair, I advise you to find out your color type. It will also come in handy when applying makeup and choosing a wardrobe.

Light brown, amber, blue-green, gray with brown streaks.

Blue, greenish, gray with yellow veins, walnut, blue.

Steel blue, blue-gray, black, dark brown, violet.

Watery green, transparent blue, sky blue.
