Some seasonal vegetables and fruits are especially beneficial for our body in summer. The dietitian explained which foods you need to add to your diet to improve your health.

Not only fans of proper nutrition know that fruits, vegetables and berries should be present in the diet. If in the summer you eat apricots, eggplants, zucchini, carrots or raspberries, the body will certainly thank you. One of the top must-haves in your grocery basket is peaches: The fruit is rich in iron, copper, potassium and magnesium.

“They also contain a lot of carotene and pectins. All this has a positive effect on digestion, immunity and skin condition, ”says nutritionist Ulyana Rumyantseva.

Make salads from cucumbers and tomatoes: you will not only replenish the water supply, but also improve the functioning of the digestive tract. And in any case, do not forget about grapes – in the summertime, it is considered a real treasure.

“We are accustomed to seeing grapes on the shelves all year round, but it is most useful in the summer, because thanks to the high content of antioxidants, it saves our skin from wilting and exposure to ultraviolet rays,” added Rumyantseva to RIAMO.
