After a long gray winter, you want to surround yourself with beauty, a blooming garden and a variegated fragrant flower garden.
Arranging a hedge of plants that will bloom all season on a personal plot is a feasible task even for a beginner. Now on sale there are a lot of different saplings and seeds of unpretentious plants, perennials and annuals, as well as devices for their growth, so if you wish, you can easily arrange a picturesque place near the house.
How to choose plants for your hedge
How exactly would you like to decorate your adjoining plot? Draw a rough plan for planting green spaces. The choice of plants depends on this. A flower bed can be located along the fence – annuals, perennials, and flowers planted in tubs are suitable for this. Large bushy plants make a beautiful hedge. If in the country there is a dilapidated or unsightly fence, for example, a chain-link mesh, it can be disguised with weaving flowers, you get a real carpet of flowers. Climbing plants look spectacular on arch supports.
What you need to know before planting flowers
When choosing seeds or seedlings, be sure to take into account the climatic features of the region, how long your warm period lasts. In southern latitudes, of course, it is easier to organize a garden of exotic plants, but in colder climates, if you wish, you can make an interesting design of the site if you plant heat-loving flowers in pots and provide them with protection from strong temperature changes.
Another prerequisite for lush bloom is plenty of sunlight. If you plan to make a flower bed on the shady side, then you need certain varieties of plants. And, of course, flowers in the same flower bed must have the same requirements.
Also, before planting, it is necessary to understand the composition of the soil and the moisture content of the site. Many garden plants do not like excess moisture. If you are planning a flower bed in your country house, which you visit only on weekends, plant undemanding varieties of flowers.
Climbing plants need good support, and over time, shaping the branches, they need to be tied up.
Annuals are good because they sprout quickly, are unpretentious, they can be alternated or combined with varieties for a variegated flower bed. And make a new floral carpet every year.
Perennials bloom more abundantly, they have larger flowers. But more often they form buds not earlier than the second year of growth and are more dependent on weather conditions.
Inexperienced flower growers should try to form a flower bed from one or two types of flowers, and as they gain knowledge, expand the number of plantings.
Some plants do not get along well with each other. For example, ivy can supplant the more delicate ornamental beans.

But you must admit that difficulties fade into the background when the court turns into an imperial garden.
