The self-diagnosis system on the Atlant washing machine gives an error F13. On CM models without a display, the first, second and fourth indicators are lit in this case.
Deciphering error code F13 will help you figure out how to fix the problem. It means a problem with the control module or its contacts.
What does error F13 mean in the Atlant washing machine: signs of breakdown
The appearance of error F13 on the display of the Atlant washing machine indicates problems with the module, but is not a XNUMX% guarantee of its failure.
Often, a user can confuse a block malfunction with a breakdown of another part in SM Atlant, since the symptoms are very similar.
Here are some signs that may indicate a module failure:
- When SMA Atlant is connected to the network, no sound signal is heard, there is no reaction.
- The keys on the control panel do not respond to pressing, it is impossible to switch the mode. In this case, the indicators may flash randomly.
- The spin mode does not perform its functions well, the panel “freezes”. The fault code was not displayed.
- There is a periodic “freeze” of the system. You start the washing process, but water does not flow or immediately drains.
- The Atlant washing machine erases for a very long time, regardless of the selected mode. At the same time, the program does not proceed to rinsing and spinning, after which the machine “hangs”.
- The laundry has been started, but there is no action from the SM side.
- You notice a sudden change in engine speed. The drum rotates at an unpredictable speed in one direction or the other.
- The heating element overheats the water or does not heat at all.
As already mentioned, these problems can be caused by a malfunction of both the control board and any part of the Atlant washing machine. How to fix the situation and fix the breakdown?
Causes of failure of the control unit
If the machine shows error F13 on the display, you need to check the block. But first, let’s find out for what reasons it can fail.
- Sudden voltage drops lead to both the complete combustion of the board and the combustion of individual elements (trigger, capacitor, resistor).
- The ingress of moisture leads to the closure of the control board and the tristor block.
- Module wiring burned out, or loose connections.
Before checking the electronic unit, try to remove the F13 error like this:
Unplug the Atlant washing machine by unplugging it for 20 minutes. After the reboot, connect to the network. Has the CMA flashed the DTC again? So, it was not possible to reset the F13 error, you need to look further.
If your Atlant washing machine model has an autotest, you need to run it for verification. How to do this is written in the instruction manual.
Check and repair of the washing machine Atlant
The AutoTest can give you the appropriate trouble code. But if the Atlant washing machine already gave the F13 error on the screen, this means that it’s time to check.
What needs to be done to reset errors:
- Disconnect the SM from the network.
- At the back, unscrew the two screws that secure the top cover.
- After removing the panel, pull out the dispenser tray. Behind it are two screws that need to be unscrewed to remove the inside of the dispenser.
- You can now inspect the control module wiring harness. If you notice burnt wires, they need to be replaced.
- Press the latches, remove the front panel.
- The board is located on the back of the panel. It is held by snaps that need to be pressed out.
- Disconnect connectors.
When the board is in your hands, you can ring its elements with a multimeter. A visual inspection will help determine if there are burnt tracks or parts.
You need to decide whether you can repair the electronic module yourself. In this case, the video will help you:
