The data of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) show that on average 41,8 per 100 thousand people Polish women died in 2020 from breast cancer. In 2015, this number was 31,1, and in 2000 – 30,2. Therefore, we are dealing with a steady growth, despite the additional financial outlays, of the development of medicine, and, at least in theory, of increasing social awareness in the field of anti-cancer prevention.
