We are used to thinking that cats do not care at all whether their person is nearby or not. After all, these pets are so independent! But it turned out that we attribute to them an extra mental callousness.
Cat owners believe that their pets are incredibly mysterious and self-sufficient creatures. It is not for nothing that they say that a cat walks by itself, which means that she does not need anyone. And she perceives the owner only as a source of food and sometimes heat. Well, someone else has to stroke. But in reality, this is not entirely true.
One day, Rob, the owner of two adorable cats, decided to find out what his pets were doing while he was at work. To do this, he put a couple of cameras in the house and left them on. Then he returned and looked at the recordings – the poor guy almost burst into tears, the video turned out to be so heartbreakingly sad.
As soon as the door closed behind the owner, Cody grabbed his toy and began to wander around the apartment, looking for his man. He called him, meowing at the top of his lungs, but so pitiful! It seems that all the concentrated sadness of the feline people resounds in this voice.
“It’s amazing that the neighbors never complained! I thought that he meows only when I get home: usually Cody meets me at the door and pretends that I have been away for several days, – says Rob. “Therefore, I try to pay more attention to him: I iron, I hold him on handles, and in the meantime he tells me how much grief he experienced while I was away.”
On the other hand, Rob’s second cat, Shorty, did not react at all to the owner’s departure. He only lazily watched the social Cody thrashing.
“I took both of my cats from the shelter. Without these little fluffy souls, my life would be much sadder, ”says Rob.
