What clients do hairdressers dislike

For us, hairdressing stylists are just magicians in their field, and we go to them with the hope and belief that they will fulfill our every whim. But there is a category of clients whose requests, desires and whims frighten even the coolest masters. Hairdressers told what kind of clients they simply cannot stand.

Olga, 31 years old, work experience 9 years:

– I would not say that there is this kind of clients that I really hate. I love them all! But there are those who are a little maddened. I do not like to prove my case and argue with the client. The visit of clients from this category begins with a frightening phrase: “Now I will show you a photo! I want it this way! ” I agree, this is quite normal and even desirable when a girl comes with a clear goal and a desire to get a certain result. But! When I see that it will not work exactly as in the picture, I say it bluntly. And here it begins – they say, the same master did it, why don’t you. Here I include all my humble knowledge of Photoshop and filter terminology. Say, embellished, added brightness, smoothed hairs and “roughness”. Well, how to explain to a burning brunette that she will not be a seductive platinum blonde. Well, certainly not the first time! We are not magicians, but we try to make our clients beautiful. After all, we ourselves are interested in this – after all, the product of our efforts. And I am glad that most of my clients listen to my word.

Marina, 41 years old, work experience 17 years:

– Even at the dawn of my career, I, so to speak, trained and got my hands on children’s haircuts. The “kind” person advised to start with this, promising that it is much easier for adult haircuts. And here is nothing of the kind! Although later I got used to restless and restless little clients. I never frightened anyone with cut off ears, honestly! And the blessing of mummy all came across adequate, knew how to calm down their children. But I remember one case with a grain of disgust. Mom brought a boy of about six years old, explained what haircut she wanted, and I got down to work. And in the first minutes I realized that the boy’s hair, how to put it correctly, is a little … alive. Yes, yes, he had lice. I interrupted my work, gently, in a half-whisper, told his mother. And then it started. “What do you care? Are you a medical service? Your task is to cut. So cut your hair! ” I was already taken aback. It turns out that she knew about the small “menagerie”, but that did not stop her from bringing her son for a haircut! I didn’t continue to work, but my superiors supported my decision.

– I am annoyed by the client’s question “Can I have my own paint?” In some salons and often at home, such a scheme is practiced, but I am categorically against it. Firstly, you can paint yourself at home with your paint, and the master is not responsible for bringing a low-quality product. Secondly, you can not calculate the quantity – what if one tube is not enough? Thirdly, the masters mix more than one tone to get a beautiful color. I repeat these three reasons very often.

Larisa, 26 years old, work experience 3 years:

– At first, I was terrified of clients a la “I don’t know what I want, do something beautiful.” And you are afraid not to decide with the length, and with the form. You offer different options and you realize that all this does not fit. And the client seems to want something and cannot explain. Once a girl came to me and said that she had always dreamed of thick bangs covering her forehead. And I see that her hair is thin and chic bangs will turn out if you cut 70 percent of the hair. She persuaded that it would look bad. Not in any – I want it and that’s it. As a result, the girl’s bangs began with … the crown and flabby hairs on the sides. She was shocked … Me too. This was a good lesson for me and the first and only negative experience. Now, from the very beginning, I speak everything with the client!
