I don’t know about you, but in my family, champagne flows like a river for the holidays. Whatever drinks are on the table, sparkling wine still remains in the lead. And even those guests who usually prefer strong alcohol. I’m talking about the male half, of course.
For a feast, I usually buy a box right away. To make it not too expensive, I buy wine of an average price category. Over the years, I have already developed a kind of top budget champagne.

Abrau-Durso, Brut
Excellent wine from a trusted producer. I started my acquaintance with this brand with fruit wines, but brut became my real love. Deep grape flavor without excessive acidity, rich amber color.
The aftertaste, according to my wife, this wine has a berry. I’m not an expert on aftertastes: I’m used to eating everything, it’s more reliable.
In general, this company has a lot of varieties of champagne and all are not very expensive. You can choose both semi-sweet and sweet. The price for a domestic manufacturer is average – about 400 rubles in different stores.
And often there are different promotions for this brand. When I bought it last time, they gave me a very decent discount at the checkout. Probably because he took a large volume right away.
Lambrusco (Ламбруско) Binelli
Finding foreign sparkling wine with an acceptable price tag is not so easy. There are much fewer imported options than Russian ones, especially within 500 rubles. So grab a tasty morsel.
I liked Lambrusco from the first glass, I have been buying it for more than a year. The color is very light with a slight yellowness, the degree is not felt at all. Apparently, Italian grapes are somehow special.
The price is more than reasonable for this taste. This year I bought this wine for 492 rubles. And how status: Italian wine on the table.
Chateau Tamagne (Chateau Tomagne), Rosr Brut
The first time I bought Chateau Tamagne (Chateau Tomagne) was to surprise the guests. To be honest, I have not tried pink champagne before and have not even seen it. It turned out to be a very high-quality Krasnodar wine.
Mixed with different grape varieties. It looks very nice in glasses. By the way, this is my wife’s favorite champagne. Its taste is quite complex, rich.
The cost pleases simply unspeakably – only 250 rubles per bottle. At this level, usually only “Soviet Champagne” stands. And here is a much more sophisticated option for the same money.
Fanagoria, Brut
I really like the design of these bottles: stylish, discreet, made of dark glass. I’m not too fond of shiny labels. These are just table decorations.
The color of the brut from this brand is yellow with a hint of green. The taste is very fresh, fruity notes are felt. I love this champagne with fish snacks. And I am always sure of the quality – the Phanagoria brand is large, known with its vineyards, the price is from 389 rubles.
When buying alcohol at an economy price, I always prefer large firms rather than small producers. So there is much less risk of buying counterfeit goods.
Mavam (Mavam), Vulcano
This dessert wine is very popular with the female half of the guests. Not everyone loves sweet champagne, but my family definitely approves of this option. Feels very close to grape juice. Transparent, light.
True, such champagne is not suitable for every snack. I think it goes well with cheese and fruit. But under some salad, it is too sweet for me.
The price for Spain is again more than attractive. The only sadness is that you don’t often see this brand in stores. If you meet – grab it, you won’t regret it. The cost is about 500 rubles. This company also has very interesting varieties with the addition of sparkles directly to champagne, for example.
