Hello. I am 39 years old and have a problem that appeared a few weeks ago. I noticed that I feel after more effort stinging in the lower abdomen, this is not ordinary colic, but the pain that prevents me from straightening up, the stinging in the lower abdomen lasts a long time, sometimes it lasted about 40 minutes, it only subsided after taking the diastolic pill. What causes stings in the lower abdomen? Could such discomfort in the lower abdomen be the result of hormonal disorders and problems with the reproductive organs?

During the last control visit to the gynecologist, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, so I wonder if the stinging in the lower abdomen may be a symptom of this ailment. I’ve never had any gynecological problems, so I don’t know how the body reacts. I have no other symptoms, I am not chronically ill, I do not take any medications on a regular basis, only vitamins and dietary supplements related to slimming. I have not undergone any surgical procedures recently.

I am worried and do not know which doctor should I go to. I am thinking about doing an ultrasound of the abdomen and lower abdomen. I am asking for tips on what I should do.

Lower abdominal pain on the left side may be evidence of diverticulitis of the large intestine. Then there are symptoms such as a change in the rhythm of bowel movements, flatulence, constipation alternating with diarrhea, temporary arrest of bowel movements and gases. Both the right and the left side of the lower abdomen may suffer from pain such as inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, nephrolithiasis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, pelvic abscess, hernia, intussusception, and sacroiliitis.

In women, lower abdominal pain may indicate adnexitis, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy rupture, ovarian torsion, ovarian rupture. Pain in this location also occurs in the course of endometriosis. Women suffering from endometriosis often report painful menstruation, painful intercourse, pain during urination and stool, pain in the sacral spine, diffuse and chronic abdominal pain.
