What causes flatulence?

- by swallowing air, e.g. when chewing gum, eating fast, drinking carbonated drinks, eating and talking at the same time, etc.
- as a result of fermentation taking place with the participation of bacteria in lower intestine
- due to the wrong composition of the microbiome (microflora intestinal).
The production of gases (flatulence) is normal and it concerns every human being. The problem arises when gas production is on increased. Then the accumulated air in the intestines causes an increase in pressure abdominal cavity and bloating and other ailments (e.g. belching). This is usually accompanied by discomfort, and often abdominal pain too constipation. How to deal with this?
What to take for flatulence?
Because one of the causes of flatulence is inappropriate intestinal microflora, the solution may be the use of a probiotic that will help restore the normal microbiome, e.g. containing strains Lactobacillus rhamnosus. Probiotics like that you can safely buy it in pharmacies.
It is worth remembering that frequent use of antibiotics destroys the intestinal microflora, which is why any antibiotic therapy must be accompanied by taking the probiotic at a certain interval temporal.
What to eat for flatulence?
Homemade pickles (cabbage, cucumbers), as well as natural fermented dairy products such as kefir and buttermilk are also positive affect the composition of the microbiome, preventing excessive gas production.
Is turmeric good for flatulence?
Turmeric is an Indian spice with a distinctive yellow-orange tint. The active substance of this spice is curcumin, which has a positive effect on the body, incl. stimulates work gallbladder. In this way, it reduces the amount of gas and eliminates flatulence. Turmeric can be used as a seasoning for meat, rice and vegetables. You should however, be used with caution, as too high a dose can cause blister pain bile.
What helps with flatulence?
Linseed and chia seeds are included in the so-called cool foods, that is, superfoods. Both products are rich in dietary fiber, which regulates the work of the intestines and prevents flatulence and constipation. Except that These seeds are attributed a number of other positive properties, such as ability for lowering blood cholesterol, a protective effect on the system cardiovascular or anti-cancer effect.
In case of flatulence, it is recommended to consume approx. 1-2 per day teaspoons of chia seeds or 2-3 teaspoons of flaxseeds. Larger amounts of can have the opposite effect – too much dietary fiber can cause abdominal pain and increased gas production and constipation. It’s worth it too remember that the more fiber we eat, the greater our demand for liquids.
What kind of tea for flatulence?
There are a number of herbs that facilitate the digestive processes and prevent flatulence. These include, for example, basil, marjoram, cumin, savory, coriander. These spices are not only worth adding to your dishes, you can use them prepare tea – just pour a teaspoon of any of the above herbs with boiling water and wait approx. 5-10 minutes.
The above methods can effectively help in the fight against gases and flatulence, but on condition that we eat rationally. For sure time, it is also worth giving up carminative products, i.e. plant seeds legumes and some vegetables: onions, garlic, leek. After the flatulence has subsided you can try to re-enable these products for the diet, but still using the methods described above.

A sandwich with wholemeal bread, lettuce, lean meats and pickled cucumber + tea with marjoram.
