What can you cook from overgrown honey agarics?

Reading time – 2 minutes.

Large mushrooms are quite rare in the forests – and if it is really overgrown, then most likely it has already “grown old” and you do not need to take it. Such a mushroom will be lethargic and rotten. But what if there are many mature and “full of vigor” mushrooms growing in the forest, just of a very, very large size? – You need to take such mushrooms, just try to put them in a separate bag.

After collecting honey agarics, analyze how many of them are overgrown? – If their quantity is insignificant, then just chop them smaller and use “in the general heap”, just make sure that the tough “stiffened” areas of the legs of large mushrooms do not get into the food – they will crunch unpleasantly when chewed, and they can also taste bitter. Well, if there are a lot of overgrown mushrooms, it is not a sin to cook them in a special way. Again, you should check the legs – try cutting the leg across – if there is no effort, then the leg is normal. And if the knife cuts with difficulty, this hard part will not fall apart and it is better to remove it immediately, and not from the plate. Then you should boil honey mushrooms, then fry with potatoes or salt. Large mushrooms are pickled less often – primarily because they do not have a characteristic appearance.
