What can be planted in June in the garden
If you have dead plants that mature for a long time and are grown through seedlings, such as tomatoes or peppers, then there are two options: buy ready-made seedlings or sow something else in their place. Well, do not empty the earth! And there are several crops that are sown in June.
Broccoli
Cabbage is a cold-resistant plant, so it is usually sown at the end of April. But broccoli can be sown in June – it ripens 70 – 115 days (1) and early varieties have time to produce a crop by the end of August.

Cabbage

Delicate leaves with a taste of France … Yes, that’s how they speak of this wonderful plant. It has an amazing tart aroma and an exquisite spicy sweetish-nutty taste. Just for this, he is favored by French chefs. And not only French – the root is used in almost all cuisines of the world. And all because it is ideally combined with the majority of the most various products. Botanists call this plant garden valerianella (2) – seeds are often sold under the same name in the store. The salad looks very nice – it forms small neat rosettes (3) 10 – 40 cm high with many glossy leaves.

Mustard leaf
Well, what is a dish without spicy mustard? It is equally good for growing outdoors and under film throughout the season, with sowing every 15 to 20 days. And by the way, mustard is a great green manure. It cleanses the soil of diseases and serves as an excellent fertilizer – if everyone has not eaten, the tops can be dug up along with the soil. And the garden will become fertile!

Monarch tubular
If you like to drink tea, then the monarda must certainly grow on your site – it is so fragrant! You can dry it in the summer, and then brew it on cold winter evenings and remember the warm days. In addition, the Monarda is very beautiful. The plant forms powerful dense bushes up to 110 cm high (4). In July – August, charming lilac corollas appear at the ends of the shoots, collected in spectacular inflorescences. In each – 190 – 240 flowers! And this beauty lasts 50 days. Monarda is best planted in flower beds – it is perennial. Looks good in combination with phlox, aconite, cosmea, sapling, rudbeckia, goldenrod, heliopsis and perennial grasses. And, of course, with roses. Moreover, this plant will decorate the flower garden not only in summer, but also in winter – its dry inflorescences are also very decorative.
And the monarda will also benefit the garden: its fragrant flowers attract pollinating insects and birds, which are happy to peck the seeds, and at the same time destroy pests.
