What are the risk factors for Horton’s disease?
There are different risk factors:
- Age (after 50 years);
- Gender (women);
- The people from Northern Europe and Scandinavian countries ;
- People with Forestier-Certonciny syndrome (inflammatory disease of unknown origin also called rhizomelic pseudopolyarthritis);
- Living in the North: Horton’s disease is more common in northern Europe.
- Asians and black people have much less Horton’s disease.
