From August 8, there is a division into zones throughout Poland. Depending on the number of new infections with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, the Ministry of Health assigns individual poviats to the green, yellow or red zone. On October 8, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that from Saturday, October 10, the yellow zone would be extended to the entire country.
The reason for this decision was the fact that “there are already about 100 poviats in the yellow zone”. «This is one third of the country. We have a choice either to close traffic in individual voivodeships, i.e. to introduce restrictions on the freedom of movement (…), or to introduce restrictions throughout the country, similar to restrictions in neighboring countries »- emphasized Morawiecki. He estimated that the introduced solution would be “clearer for all Poles”.
