What is the kegel muscle? Do only women have it? Is it possible that men also have it? Where are they located in a man? Are their exercises for a man effective? The question is answered by the drug. Anna Mitschke.
Do men have Kegel muscles?
Good day. I would like to know what they are kegel muscles in men. I am interested in this topic because recently I have an erection problem (I am 47 years old). It takes a long time for my penis to stand up and become stiff. I take all sorts of adjuvants, but it bothers me that everything is under the clock. They help me, but not for long, I ejaculate very quickly. He feels like a defective man.
With my problem, I went to the doctor and told me to start exercising kegel musclesthis will help me on erectile dysfunction. Initially, I was very surprised by this recommendation, as I have never encountered kegel muscles in men. Please answer me, what are the kegel muscles in men? Where are they located? And how should I practice them? Does exercising the kegel muscles in men have any effect at all?
I have heard about kegel muscles in women, but I never thought that kegel muscles are also found in men. I will be grateful for your feedback. Regards, Kazimierz.
The doctor explains how you can exercise a man’s Kegel muscles
The Kegel muscles are the pelvic floor muscles. They occur in both women and men. More is said about these muscles in relation to women. This is due to physiology, women are more prone to weakening of the strength of these muscles through pregnancy and childbirth. The decrease in the strength of the pelvic floor muscles may occur after gynecological, urological and surgical operations.
Increased tension in the abdominal press due to increased physical exertion, overweight due to overweight, chronic constipation may cause Kegel muscle weakness. This does not mean, however, that the problem does not concern men. Applicable, but just much less common. The Kegel muscles support the organs in the pelvis. Improving their functions reduces ailments such as urinary incontinence, rectal prolapse and reproductive organ prolapse, but also has a positive effect on sexual activity.
There are many exercises that improve the performance of the pelvic floor muscles. First of all, the exercises must be repeated regularly at least 3 times a week for 3 months. After such a period, we can observe an improvement. Exercises can be performed while standing, lying, but also sitting.
It is important to understand which muscles you need to exercise. These are the deep muscles and we often forget about them, which is why they are neglected. Exercising the Kegel muscles consists in consciously tensing them. We imagine that we want to stop the urine flow. It is important that your abdominals and buttocks are relaxed while exercising. We breathe calmly and evenly.
We can weave these exercises into everyday activities that we do anyway. We can practice while cooking, watching TV, working at the computer, driving a bus or car. It is not recommended to exercise the Kegel muscles while urinating, as there is a risk of infection. The most important thing is regularity. Only then can we get the best results.
If you have any further doubts or questions, please see your doctor and feel free to ask any questions.
