What are the first symptoms of prostate cancer?

Hello. My name is Jarosław and I am 35 years old. My grandfather died at the age of 59 prostate cancer. My father has not seen any disturbing symptoms so far, and is generally quite healthy for his age (60). Nevertheless, I know that this cancer can be inherited and can show up in me. Therefore, I would like to know all about prostate cancer. Mainly I would like to know what they are the first symptoms of prostate cancer.

It seems to me that if it has a genetic background, what I would not do, I may still be at risk of its occurrence in the flu. Are the first symptoms strictly related to the penis? Are these systemic symptoms? I am still quite young and I would not like to have problems in this area, moreover, I would like my son to have siblings and with my wife we are doing everything to make it happen. We are very sexually active. In general, I do not see any symptoms in myself that may bother me at the moment. However, knowing the first symptoms of this cancer is extremely important to me.

  1. If a father, brother or grandfather has been ill, the risk increases up to ten times

If prostate cancer were to attack me, I would like to know what its initial symptoms are so that I can quickly diagnose and treat it. Regards.

Prostate cancer: don’t ignore these ailments

Dear sir, prostate cancer is hereditary. During diagnostics, genes such as BRCA1, CHEK2 and NBS1 are examined. However, this does not mean that every man in the family will have prostate cancer. In every man, it increases with age risk of developing prostate cancer. If the cancer occurs in your father, it does not mean that you will also suffer from it, so I suggest you stay calm and remember about periodic tests in the future. Prostate cancer may be asymptomatic initially, mainly due to the fact that it most often develops in the peripheral parts of the gland.

If it developed in the central part, such is a benign prostatic hyperplasia, it would quickly give symptoms in the form of voiding disorders, i.e. urination disorders, which are manifested by frequent urination of small amounts of urine. As I mentioned, prostate cancer usually develops in the peripheral parts of the gland, so only when it becomes large it will begin to compress the urethra, causing symptoms similar to those in benign prostatic hypertrophy. For this reason, cancer can develop for many years without any symptoms.

It happens that the first symptoms do not result from the cancer pressing on the urethra or the bladder, but from the presence of metastases to the neighboring or further organs. Prostate cancer often metastasizes to the bones, including the bones of the spine, which may result in severe pains not responding to standard analgesic treatment, and even vertebral fractures.

Unfortunately, there is no golden mean in prostate cancer diagnosis. Currently, for the diagnosis of prostate disorders, the PSA protein is tested, high concentrations of which may suggest the presence of cancer. Please note that high PSA levels are not only indicative of cancer, an increase in the amount of this protein also occurs in the case of inflammation of the prostate gland or its hypertrophy. So it is a nonspecific indicator.

Try the Homemade Prostate Test for Detecting PSA in the Blood. You will find it at an attractive price on Medonet Market.

In the case of the elderly, it is also recommended to periodically perform an ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs, which enables imaging of the prostate, among others. If any suspicious changes are present, biopsy should be performed and the specimens should be subjected to histopathological examination.

The editorial board recommends:

  1. PSA antigen – who should perform a prostate examination and when?
  2. Sick prostate – what are the symptoms? How to heal it?
  3. Frequent sex reduces the risk of prostate cancer
