When can you notice the first symptoms of pregnancy? What are the first symptoms of pregnancy? What is worth paying attention to? Can a test done too early show a negative result? The question is answered by the drug. Katarzyna Darecka.
What are the first symptoms of pregnancy?
Good day. I would like to ask about an important question for me – which are the first pregnancy symptoms immediately after conception? My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for some time, but unfortunately we still do not succeed, even though we have sex several times a week. Recently, I was hoping that it worked, because my period was late, I felt sore breasts and a little nausea after waking up, but the pregnancy test was negative. Could it be though first symptoms of pregnancy?
Could fertilization have occurred and I am pregnant, but it is too early and the test did not detect it or the pregnancy test was defective? I don’t want to run to the gynecologist or beta HCG test every two weeks, but still go as long as I have early pregnancy symptoms. I also have a question how long after fertilization can be seen pregnancy symptoms? How much time must pass from conception to the first symptoms of pregnancy?
I will be very grateful for your help, because this issue is especially important to me, and I don’t know what to think anymore, because I find various information on the Internet about the first symptoms of pregnancy after conception.
The doctor shows the first symptoms of pregnancy
Immediately after conception, there are practically no signs of pregnancy. The subjective symptoms experienced by a woman that may indicate pregnancy are as follows.
Cessation of menstruation – that is, due to the increase in the production of progesterone and estrogens by the corpus luteum, there is no bleeding within the prescribed period, i.e. 28 days from the first day of the last menstruation. This symptom can only be considered relatively reliable evidence in regularly menstruating women. Among other causes of menstruation arrest may be endocrine disorders, metabolic disorders, stress, psychogenic factors, drug use.
Nausea and vomiting, most often in the morning, provoked by various smells and foods – they appear around 4-6 weeks of pregnancy, but do not occur in all pregnant women, in 50-70% of cases. Apart from increasing levels of progesterone and estrogen, Beta-hCG is also responsible for their occurrence.
Constipation – as suggested by rising levels of progesterone, resulting in weakening of peristalsis
Frequent urination – due to the enlarging uterus, pressing against the bladder and increased filtration through the kidneys.
Breast tenderness, as well as their enlargement and discoloration of the nipples 6-8 weeks after fertilization.
Body temperature above 37 degrees C for a period of at least 3 weeks after ovulation (which occurs in books around the 14th day of the cycle. Progesterone, acting on the thermoregulation center in the hypothalamus, increases the basal body temperature.
The above-mentioned symptoms only allow us to assume a pregnancy, it cannot be used to determine pregnancy.
Some of the symptoms of pregnancy include:
- a positive pregnancy test measuring the level of Beta-hCG in urine or serum, performed on the day of the expected menstruation, i.e. theoretically about 2 weeks after conception.
- visualization of a gestational sac in vaginal ultrasound in 4-5 weeks of pregnancy.
- detection of fetal heart activity using intravaginal Doppler ultrasound 5-6 weeks of pregnancy.
